Chris is a Certified Financial Planner who has been working in the financial services industry since 2014. He enjoys making a difference in the lives of others through financial planning.
Receiving his Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Business Administration from Trinity Western University, he returned to his Alma Mater as Assistant Coach of men’s hockey, where he stayed until entering the financial services industry in 2014. He’s loved it ever since!
Chris loves spending time with wife Serenity and four children. He also loves playing hockey, softball and golf when he can.
Jen Whiting Admin & Client Services
Jen has been working in the financial services industry since 2005 as Chris Singer’s assistant and is an integral part of the Cedar Rock planning team.
Jen’s background in the hospitality industry, combined with her knowledge of the financial industry make her a great resource. She has enjoyed building relationships with our clients over the years and is committed to ensuring that they receive the best service available. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and puppy Stella.
Jen also won’t say no to the occasional lemon-drop martini.
Jennifer Carson Admin & Client Services
Jennifer has been with Cedar Rock since 2016. She provides administrative support and works closely with our planning team.
Jennifer has a background in the hospitality industry and this, in tandem with her growing knowledge in the financial industry, allows her to provide and outstanding level of service to our clients.
In her free time, she loves watching movies with her family and spending time together in any way.
Taiya BrecknellAdmin & Client Services
Taiya joined the Cedar Rock team in October 2021 and works closely with our Certified Financial Planners to develop comprehensive financial plans for our clients.
Taiya is currently pursuing her joint Anthropology and Archaeology degree at Simon Fraser University. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding in the summer, and spending time with friends and family year-round.
Melena Roussos admin & client services
Melena has been with Cedar Rock since September 2022 as an Administrator for Client Services.
She has worked most of her career in the hospitality industry, with over 20 years of experience under her belt! Melena enjoys working with clients and assisting them with their finances, and she looks forward to aiding our clients on their journeys toward retirement.
In her spare time, you’ll most often find Melena with her two children, pet cat, bearded dragon, and fish! Along with their animals, they love to spend time together as a family.
Jennifer Brecknell Bookkeeping & HR
Jen has been working in the financial services industry ever since she started with North Shore Credit Union back in 1989. She started as a teller in the industry, and over the last decade she has been focused on bookkeeping.
Jen loves to go on walks at a fast pace, spend time with her friends and family, and bake sweet treats whenever she can.
